A cabin by the lake, snow outside and time to yourself. It sounds lovely – but perhaps a little daunting too. Can I manage the journey? Where will I buy food? What if the quiet feels overwhelming?
You do not have to organise everything alone
For us, travelling alone does not mean being left alone with every question. Before booking, tell Alexandra what you feel comfortable doing and where you would appreciate help. Together, we can discuss getting to the house and preparing for the first few days.
On request, we can help organise transport, shopping or meals. We agree the arrangements, availability and costs beforehand, so you know what is included before you travel.
Quiet time and company can go together
You can enjoy your own space and still meet people. Our local contacts can help with suitable activities, some of which may start at the house. If regular personal contact would reassure you, let us discuss that in advance too.
There is no need for a packed itinerary. A walk, coffee overlooking the lake or a shared activity can be enough for a day.
Respecting winter makes sense
A trip to Lapland does not have to test your courage. If you would rather not drive in winter, we can discuss possible transfers. Weather, darkness and local conditions still need to be considered. Tell us what worries you: it helps us work out the arrangements that matter most.
Start with a conversation
Write to us with your preferred dates and what you hope for from your trip. We can explore whether Mökki Tikka and the support available suit you. You do not have to feel completely confident before asking questions.
